WHY JELLYFISH, YOU ASK??
The Box jellyfish are a prominent marine animal which dwells in the oceans where I live in Northern Australia. Although I have lived in the Top-End for 25 years, I have hardly seen these mysterious but deadly creatures. Entranced by their translucent beauty, I have found inspiration which has informed my recent work, resulting in jellyfish sculptures in various colours, handwoven from repurposed fishing-line and recycled bailing twine.
