The Box jellyfish are a prominent marine animal which dwells in the oceans where I live in Northern Australia. Although I have lived in the Tropical North for 25 years, I have hardly seen these mysterious but deadly creatures. Entranced by their translucent beauty, I found inspiration, resulting in two large bronze sculptures jellyfish handwoven from discarded fishing net rope then cast in bronze. These large sculptures are dancing by the sea, in my hometown in Darwin, Northern Australia.
