The Box jellyfish are a prominent marine animal that dwells in the oceans where I live in Northern Australia. Although I have lived in the Northern Territory for 25 years, I have hardly seen these mysterious but deadly creatures. Entranced by their translucent beauty, I have found inspiration, resulting in two large bronze sculptures jellyfish handwoven from discarded fishing net rope then cast in bronze. These large sculptures are dancing by the sea in my hometown in Darwin, Northern Australia.
