The Box jellyfish are a prominent marine animal which dwells in the oceans where I live in Northern Australia. Although I have lived in the Top-End for 25 years, I have hardly seen these mysterious but deadly creatures. Entranced by their translucent beauty, I have found inspiration, resulting in two large bronze sculptures jellyfish handwoven from discarded fishing net rope then cast in bronze. These large sculptures are dancing by the sea . in my hometown in Darwin, Northern Australia.
